“‘The Lord will perfect that which concerns me: thy mercy, O Lord, endures forever: forsake not the works of your own hands.” (Psalm 138:8)

August 2011

Dear Friend,

Trusting that all is well with you, and your loved ones. We are all fine and enjoying summer evangelism as we greet our neighbors in the streets and spread the Gospel wherever we go. It is amazing how many opportunities the Lord gives when we ask for them!

Our prayer line is prospering and souls are being won to the Lord. Our 45 volunteers are standing by, ready to be a witness for Him. They are ready to pray for your needs! Please call, even to just say hello and agree in prayer for a need that you might have. We are always happy to hear from you and believe God for miracles! Call The Hope Connection Prayer line: 718-238-4600

Is there something on your mind right now, that you are concerned about? I think we all have things that we could mention, such as salvation for a loved one, a closer walk with God, healing for ourselves or someone we know, guidance, direction, finances, a job, and so much more. Sometimes it just gets overwhelming, doesn’t it? We pray and seek God, we try to figure things out in our mind, sometimes losing sleep worrying. We see things sometimes going out of control and we wonder if there are answers! Are you, or is someone you know, in one of these situations? Then I have good news for you!!

All of us have something on our mind, and one day when I was seeking God, and feeling as if He was so far away, this Scripture came to me, and changed my thinking forever. Repeat this out loud, right now, with me: Come on, out loud and as loud as you can get away with saying it! In fact, give a SHOUT!

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me: thy mercy, O Lord, endures forever: forsake not the works of your own hands.” (Psalm 138:8)

This came after David began praising God for Who He is, His Lovingkindess, His Truth, the fact that He magnified His Word above all His Name, and when in the day of crying out He answers and makes us bold with strength in our soul. Even if we do not see the

answer yet, let us sing to the Lord, let us praise His Holy Name! He is Great! He is

Faithful! There is nothing too hard for Him! The word “perfect” according to Strong’s Concordance #1584 means: To end, finish, accomplish, perfect, to come to an end, to cease, to perform, to fulfill. It means to complete, finish, and perfecting God’s work in ones life. The idea is that God begins to work out the purposes in the life of His servant until it is absolutely and completely done. (See Spirit Filled Life Bible - word wealth Ps.138:8)

Isn’t this something to shout about? I am excited! God will fulfill all of His promises and purposes in a persons life. This is confirmed by Paul see (Phil. 1:6) and Peter (1 Pet. 5:10) It does not matter what we are going through right now, we can know that if we hold on to Him and His Word, and be steadfast in our seeking Him and praying, God will see to it that His promises are fulfilled in our life and in the lives of our loved ones.

Are you praying for the salvation of a loved one? Is there a child you are frantic about with his or her lifestyle? Sometimes it seems as if we pray and pray and nothing happens, doesn’t it? BUT God!! He is hearing those prayers, He sees those tears, and He wants more than us for these loved ones to turn to Him and have life changing experiences. We are never to give up! Keep pressing in, keep believing, keep holding on, keep praying. God is working, even if we cannot see it right now. He is softening hearts, He is drawing these precious souls to Himself.

He wants, even more than you do for that person to come to Him!! And He will finish what He starts! He will perfect that which concerns Him. He is El-Shaddai -The God who is sufficient for the needs of His People.

His promises are true, they are yes and amen! So be it! Whatever is on your heart, keep this close to you: God loves you so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to live and experience everything that we experience. There is nothing new to Him, He has been through it all. He has been made poor for our sake, He has been misunderstood, rejected, suffered physical torture and death for our sake. He knows exactly how you feel! And He is God of the Universe, He is our Creator. He wants you to come to Him and talk. He desires to hear from you! If someone you loved needed something, but did not tell you about it, how could you know how to help them? Of course, He knows everything, and He has an answer for everything, but He wants us to come to Him! He wants that relationship with us. If you have a child, and that child pays no attention to you, how would you feel? You want to be involved in their life. You want to have a special relationship. You want to be able to help if help is needed. But if that child does not come to you, then that is the way he or she wants it, and you have to step aside. Call upon Him right now! Let Him know that you love Him, tell Him of your needs. Thank Him for all that He has done for you! Let us pray...

Father, in Jesus Name, we come before You and worship and adore You. Thank You Lord, that You are the Creator of the Universe. You have created this reader, to know you, to love you, and to serve you all the days of his or her life. Father, thank You for all you do! I lift up..... (give Him your need) and I thank You right now, that all things are possible for You. Thank You Lord for meeting that need,. In Jesus Name. Amen & Amen. God bless you!
